Getting Started

I have long wanted to start a blog, for a couple reasons: 1)We have lots of family that live far away and 2) to keep a 'journal' of my kids' life so I don't forget the little things.  So here I am, 4 years after my baby girl was born, finally getting started.  The last 4 years have been hectic, but absolutely wonderful.

February 27, 2007, our journey of parenthood began with the birth of our baby girl, Katelyn Grace.  Kate (also referred to as Peanut or P) is a thoughtful, caring child that is incredibly independent - which can make parenting a bit more difficult than it already is.  She is a perfectionist and really is a smart little cookie (her teachers have confirmed that I am not just biased :)).  She is a perfect mixture of both me and Kevin.  Unfortunately, she has my patience (or lack thereof).  She is a fantastic big sister and loves being Mommy's helper.

And then there is my little guy, Mark Hayes, born on January 7, 2011.  Hayes is truly the happies baby I have ever met, in fact, his nickname is 'Cheese ball' because he smiles so much.  He adores his big sister and loves to be tickled on his belly.  However, the kid hates tummy time and face plants into the ground after a mere 2 minutes of the activity.

To get this blog started, I will include some of my favorite pictures from the previous 4 years.  Enjoy!
